**What We Are Looking For**

We are looking for an experienced night Service (Pick Pack) Manager that is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and buy into our vision of becoming the preferred food service partner in the Hawkes Bay region. This role will have ownership, autonomy and responsibility of the night Service (Pick Pack) team but will also play a crucial part in the wider business and will be part of the Senior Leadership team. The Night Pick Pack team is at the heart of the action and is vital to ensure our customers receive what they order, on time and in full. We pick 6 nights a week (Sunday to Friday from 4pm to 1am), so you must have the ability to work flexibly based on the needs of the service team and business.

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:

- Manage and supervise the service team to meet our service objectives
- Oversee the selection, training, and supervision of service team members (with support from HR).
- Demonstrate effective leadership and management of the service department by setting KPI's, monitoring performance, ensuring expectations are met and providing timely feedback.
- Develop a succession plan for key roles within the department.
- Lead by example in demonstrating company values and promoting a positive culture within the department.
- Contribute effectively and constructively as a member of the Senior Leadership team.
- Implement and maintain health & safety / food safety policies to agreed standards.
- Manage time and attendance, setting rosters and adhering to wage budgets.
- Rolling up your sleeves and helping with pick packing.

**To be successful**:

- Previous supervisory / management experience and success in supporting, coaching and motivating a team to achieve exceptional results. Experience in Foodservice is preferred but not a requirement
- Self-motivated and driven to drive operational efficiency (‘work smarter not harder’)
- Previous experience on a forklift / reach truck is preferred
- Resilient, reliable and committed to the business
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
