Maintenance Fitter

ANZCO Foods Manawatu has a full-time permanent Maintenance Fitter position available at our processing site on Ferry Road, Manawatu, this will be a twilight shift position and the hours of work will be between 12pm - and 9.30pm 5 days a week. You will need to have flexibility to work outside these hours during maintenance shutdowns and times where the plant is working weekends or overtime.

Whether it's welding, stripping down and rebuilding parts or fitting/assembling components on our processing lines, there will be a good variety of work Ultimately, you'll play a vital role in keeping our production process running and in line with the required standards and regulations. It's the ideal mix of installation, inspection, repair and preventative maintenance - keeping things running and in great condition, so when little issues crop up, they don't turn into massive problems (and unscheduled outages).

Skills and experience we require are as follows:
A mechanical or maintenance/diagnostics trade qualification or be in the process of gaining a qualification
- The ability to think logically and remain calm under pressure
- A working knowledge of manufacturing operations
- Maintenance diagnostic or fault-finding experience and repair of industrial equipment
- Knowledge and experience of reliability-based maintenance
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of monitoring and auditing for compliance
- A good understanding of the Health & Safety requirements for a processing environment
