**Some of the Main Responsibilities include**:

- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to their destination
- Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines
- Inspect trucks for mechanical and safety issues before and after each trip
- Load and unload cargo from the truck
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers on the road
- Ensure goods are stored securely in the truck to avoid loss and damage
- Complete all required delivery paperwork
- You should carry out routine checks of your truck
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazard conditions.
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times
- Report any accidents, violations, or other incidents to management immediately
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area
- A sound understanding of Health and Safety along with the logbook requirements
- Any other duties as assigned by the Manager from time to time

**To Apply**:

- A valid clean Class 1 Driving license
- Any previous driving work experience is an advantage
- Available to work outside your usual hours when required' (e.g. weekends, evenings, public holidays)
- A high degree of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy weight
- Undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as a prerequisite to obtaining employment.
- Have a clear criminal record - Police Check for criminal conviction for employment

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full time

You must be either a New Zealand Citizen / Resident or on a Valid Visa and able to Work Full Time.
