Due to an increase in service demand we are seeking a Project Technician to join the Te Whatu Ora - Hawke's Bay Facilities Projects Team on a permanent basis.
You will assist in feasibility studies, preparation of scope of works, contract documentation, architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings in conjunction with Hawke's Bay District Health Board's specifications for capital projects. You will also be a part of the implementation, coordination and closing of capital projects and will help coordinate the facilities technical library ensuring that As-Builts, CAD drawings and associated manuals are kept up to date and documented correctly.
Work experience in architectural and engineering design and drafting is required. Your qualifications will include a tertiary education in architectural, mechanical and/or electrical computer drafting/design preferably using AutoCAD. Your drafting work will be to a high standard and you will be able to communicate effectively with other team members. Time management, written and oral communication skills and customer focus is essential.
You will have the flexibility to help on a range of jobs from trouble-free to complex tasks. You will be a quick learner with the excellent computer skills, including Microsoft products. The ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision is a plus.
