Senior Design Technician

Our Auckland office is currently seeking an experienced Senior Design Technician to become an integral member of our Northern Transport team.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Design and drafting in AutoCAD, 12D, MX or similar; calculations to justify those designs; preparation of comprehensive design reports for submissions to consent authority for transport projects
- Checking of other staff members’ design and drafting using office QA procedures as required
- Training of design and drafting team members and provide mentoring to junior designers and drafters
- Develop geometric designs and other design documentation, and undertake or supervise design checking of peer work

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Tertiary qualification (Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent) and design experience.
- 10+ years industry experience in civil design and drafting
- Advanced working knowledge and use of AutoCAD, 12D Model, MX, or similar software packages
- Excellent people skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
