**Te whai wāhitanga | The opportunity**

The Kaitohu Matua, Tokonga Kaupapa | Senior Advisor, Programme Support role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by having a leading hand in the coordination and delivery of Iwi-Crown Accords mahi and overseeing the monitoring, delivery, and reporting of actions agreed upon between the Crown and Iwi. Working in this space is hugely relevant and will position you well for a future in this field. This tīma is also responsible for the convening function and some reporting aspects of the National Iwi Chairs Forum and support the delivery of the annual Ahuwhenua Māori Farming Award and, as such, you can expect to be involved in this mahi too.

In this role you will work with Ministers' offices and Iwi Accord partners at a senior level. This is a largely outward focussed role where you will foster strong relationships with other government agencies.

The Programme Support tīma are a passionate and highly motivated group who work collaboratively and support one another.

The likely appointment range is $104,056 - $115,617, based on skills and experience. The full grade for this role is $104,056 - $138,741 with a mid-point of $115,617.

You're confident leading projects, communicating with influence, and navigating the public sector with ease. You're also comfortable working in a te ao Māori environment and value the importance of tikanga in professional settings.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven ability to write high-quality Ministerial briefing papers
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing projects
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Advanced critical thinking and analytical capabilities
- Resilience and the ability to think quickly under pressure
- Flexibility to pivot and adapt as priorities shift
- A solid understanding of the machinery of Government
- Comfortability working in a te ao Māori environment, including where tikanga is observed

Currently working in Iwi-crown relations would be advantageous.
