**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We are seeking a Finance leader to provide sound financial leadership and ensure strong and effective financial management for our Wholesale business. You will be a trusted advisor to the Wholesale business and deliver high quality financial advice, insight and financial information.

This is a 14 month Fixed Term opportunity and we are open to your working location.

Essentially this role is the key link between our Trading and Development business units and Finance. It is about understanding the performance of our Wholesale business and its gross margin.

Some of the additional key responsibilities of this role are;.
- Monthly management accounts
- Analysis and Board reporting of Contact’s monthly actual and forecast/budget performance.
- Coordinate, analyse and present regular forecasts and annual Budget. Including oversee the Five-Year Business Plan from initiation to completion of the process.
- Design and implement financial analysis frameworks to allow improved insight and efficiency in financial analysis.
- Implement financial frameworks including control and processes to guarantee the integrity and accuracy of financial data and support segregation of duties.

This role reports to the General Manager Wholesale Finance & Finance Projects, and is part of a wider team that supports the Wholesale business.

Your impressive analytical and communication skills allow you to interpret, understand and report on financial performance in a way that everyone can understand.

You are passionate about continuous improvement. You’ll identify, recommend and implement opportunities to enhance the value of the Wholesale business and become leading edge.

We are open to the skills and experience you bring, but we do have a couple of must haves;
- Chartered Accountant professional qualification (or equivalent) (5 plus years) and has significant accounting/business experience.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting systems (preferably ERP systems), procedures, reporting, and other business systems.
- Depth of experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting at a senior level (preferably in the energy or related utilities sector and/or in a publicly listed company).
