**About the Role**

Christchurch Hospital Pool has an opportunity for Healthcare Assistants to join their team on a permanent contract.

Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to patients and supporting the clinical team. As a Healthcare Assistant you will assist nursing staff with patient cares and patient observation, whilst maintaining a safe and clean work environment on the ward.

**About you**

You will have the following skills and experience:

- Recent experience as a carer in a Hospital setting, Acute or Community
- Ability to work a rotating roster across all shifts - Morning, Afternoon and Nights
- The ability to cover shifts across all clinical areas of Christchurch Hospital
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- A high attention to detail and the ability to relate to patients and their families
- Excellent time management skills and a willingness to learn
- Initiative and a proactive approach to work
- Flexible and Adaptable
