Slumberzone New Zealand is a leading manufacturer of beds and mattresses based in Auckland & Christchurch and is looking for experienced upholsterers for its modernized setup.
The company's rapid expansion has demanded a large investment in the most up-to-date machinery for premium mattress manufacturing.

We currently have 2 full time positions open for upholsterers.

Location: Slumberzone NZ Ltd based in Wiri, Auckland
Role: Upholsterer
This is a permanent full-time position offering a minimum of 30 hours or more per week, Monday - Friday.

We are looking for someone who has in depth knowledge and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in this field, necessary training will be provided.

We can ask to go through a background check as necessary for this role.

Rate - $25.00 - $28.00

Position Description:

- preparing products as per order
- making and repairing wooden frames, and removing and replacing defective springs
- renovating old furniture
- securing material, padding, springs, and webbing to articles to be upholstered
- measuring and cutting materials for covering furniture
- attaching ornamental trims or buttons where required
- Joining the pieces together as per desired design
- padding and covering bases / mattresses
- Cleaning the fabrics / material as required.
- Working on Glue machines for assembling the mattress components
- Measuring and cutting materials and covering furniture if required
- Attaching ornamental trims, braids, and buttons
- Padding and covering spring units to upholster mattresses
- May remove stains from the mattress.

Note:
You must be eligible to live and work in New Zealand Legally.
