Here at Auckland Council, our leisure centres play a key role in achieving our goal of get Auckland the most active city in the world. And right now, we’re looking for a Team Member to join our ActivZone Indoor Sports Arena.

This role will see you working with community groups across the Auckland region. You will help us deliver an exciting customer service to our community groups.

In this frontline role, your responsibilities will include:

- delivering exceptional customer service to our customers and visitors
- serving food and supporting our Cafe
- assisting skate session operation
- helping the centre maintain a caring, fun, and safe fitness and leisure environment
- helping centre management with administration and operational duties including bookings
- supporting with centre activities including sporting leagues and daily timetabled programmes

**This is a permenent part time position of 4.5 hours per week.**

**The shift is on Friday 5pm to 10pm.**

**He kōrero mōu: About you**

You will already be passionate about sports and recreation and be ready to step into a frontline customer service role.

You will also be:

- responsible when it comes to working with children. (While previous experience working with children is beneficial, it is not essential)
- have a flexible approach and be able to use your initiative to facilitate suitable programmes for kids.
- be an enthusiastic team player
- have a positive attitude and infectious energy
- be committed to providing your customers with an exceptional experience.
- understand health and safety
- you will be committed to maintaining a high degree of professionalism in your work
- You will need a First Aid Certificate so we will help you attain this if you do not have one already.

**Pay rate: Starting $23.65**
- Auckland Council is committed to the protection and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children's Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 and is deemed a safety sensitive position. As such applicants will be required to undergo police vetting and a drug test prior to commencing employment._
