PAK'nSAVE Hastings has an exciting opportunity within their Produce Leadership team as a Produce Assistant Manager (2IC) A dynamic and fast paced role, responsible for operations of high-performing Produce Department. This role exists to support the Produce Manager and the Produce team, to make sure our loyal customers receive the best shopping experience in the Bay

**The days and hours are as follows**:

- Sunday to Thursday 7.00am-4.30pm (45 hours per week)

You will be an effective leader with great communication and leadership skills and have the ability to inspire and drive team performance through leading by example and assisting in the coaching of the Produce team.

**Duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Assisting the Produce Manager to ensure specific department targets and operational delivery standards are met on a consistent basis
- Assist in ensuring sales and GP targets for the department are met or exceeded and that wage costs are controlled appropriately
- Liaising with the suppliers and monitoring stock including wastage, shrinkage and quality control
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints appropriately and ensure effective interactions with customers at all time
- Contributing to the merchandising of the department to maximize stock visibility to enhance sales potential and building attractive / eye catching displays
- Helping to facilitate and maintain health and safety and food safety policies to agreed standards and metrics
- Deputise for the Department Manager as required

**To succeed in this role you will need**:

- Experience leading/managing a team
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft office suite
- Commanding leadership and coaching skills
- Extremely customer-focused outlook
- Excellent planning & organizing skills
- Working knowledge of GP and financial acumen
