**The Role / Person**

The South Canterbury Museum is a treasured community resource We are seeking a versatile and proactive Museum Technician to join our team. This role provides essential technical support across key Museum programmes, ensuring high-quality delivery of exhibitions, collection storage, education and public initiatives, and building maintenance.

This role requires technical competence in woodwork, metalwork, and maintenance, alongside attention to detail and the ability to handle fragile objects with care. Health and Safety monitoring is also a key part of the role. Bring your creativity, communication, and time management skills to this varied role that combines technical problem-solving with strategic thinking.
