We are looking a registered nurse to join our client’s Extended Care Support and Community Outreach Team to provide outstanding care to their clients in the community and in general practice.
The successful applicant will be a registered nurse with knowledge and experience of working with Māori communities and have a genuine passion for improving health outcomes for patients and their whanau.
You must also have an understanding and appreciation of Maori health issues, Tikanga Maori, and the Rotorua Community.
You need to have great communication skills, be able to prioritise a complex workload and be able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
Essential requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a current
- Annual Practicing Certificate.
- A minimum of three years’ experience working within a primary healthcare/community environment.
- A good understanding of Maori cultural concepts, values and practices and the ability to work with Whanau/Hapu/Iwi.
- Excellent clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team and have the flexibility to respond to a readily changing environment.
- Experience of working with patients with long-term conditions management.
- Full, clean NZ Driver License.
- Commitment to on-going professional development/education.
- High levels of computer and digital literacy.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Current Vaccinator's certificate with regular updates as required according to National Immunisation Standards.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
Our client requires all staff to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
