**About the Team**:
The Technology Group is responsible for the effective delivery, management and services of all technology disciplines within the air navigation services environment - engineering design, software design and development, technology architecture and infrastructure, asset management, installation and maintenance, technical training, workload planning, maintenance program development, project management, and logistics support.

The Auckland Maintenance team consists of Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CNS) Technicians, their Team Leader, the Auckland Maintenance Manager, a Senior Maintenance Standards Engineer and a Maintenance Administrator. Collectively they help ensure the availability of systems assigned to the Auckland maintenance units.

**About the Role**:
We have a permanent full-time role available for an Electrical Technician to join our Auckland based team. This role is based opposite The Quad (Leonard Isitt Drive, Auckland Airport) which is within walking distance from Countdown, Chemist Warehouse, Jetts Fitness, cafes, take-away shops, and restaurants.

Reporting to the Auckland Maintenance Manager, in this role you will:

- Perform fault, maintenance and installation work as required to provide service to customers of the Auckland maintenance units.
- Participate in and take ownership for assigned areas in the workshops or station technical and general administration tasks.
- Attain (and maintain) the equipment competencies necessary to perform the operational duties within the Auckland maintenance unit.Reporting, documentation, and related administrative tasks.
- This role is predominantly fulfilled weekdays during standard business hours but will be required to assist outside of typical hours, on weekends and on public holidays as needed to uphold our safety-critical operations.

This role also includes some travel and away from home stays as necessary in completing tasks and project work.

**About You**:
To be considered you’ll be a New Zealand registered electrician with significant experience gained in a safety critical environment. You’ll be known for your attention to detail, customer focus, prioritisation and planning skills, as well as your ability to problem solve and take initiative.

Additionally, you’ll hold:

- Ability and proven experience working as an effective team member as part of a team of professional electricians, technicians and/or engineers.
- Ability and proven experience delivering projects to time, cost, and quality targets.
- A current New Zealand motor vehicle drivers’ licence.
- A willingness to travel throughout New Zealand and internationally as needed to undertake project work.
- Knowledge of diesel generators and airfield power systems.
- Experience with 11Kv, PLC or electronics and air-conditioning units.
- Electrical Inspectors Licence (EWRB) with experience inspecting installations.
- Proficiency with AS/NZ3000 (Part 1 and Part 2).
- Experience working in aviation.
