**Diksha Foods Limited** is looking for a **Cook**to join its team in **Mount Roskill, Auckland**. The role involves preparing meals as per the menu, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
- Cook high quality dishes in a timely manner.
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner.
- Inform front house staff about daily specials.
- Ensure appealing plate presentation.
- Supervise kitchen hand staff.
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy).
- Monitor food stock and place orders.
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
- Ensure to keep the kitchen area clean

Required to work for a minimum of **30 hours per week** and will be paid between **$25 to $28 per hour.**

**Other requirements for the role**:

- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience or a relevant Level 4 Qualification.
- Available to work on weekends.
- Physically fit to stand for longer hours
- Team worker and Interpersonal skills
- Good coordination skills
- Attention to detail
- Multi-tasker

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
