We are horticulture company Good Work NZ Limited are looking for multiple orchard positions within our business bases in Bay of Plenty.

Position Available: Construction and Establishment Workers Location: Bay of plenty Payrate: $29 per hour to $32 per hour

Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30

Requirements No Experience or No Qualifications Required

Willingness to travel to different locations Must be physically fit. Handle heavy equipment Rotational shift work Monday to Sunday excluding Public Holidays. You will be required to build and construct and repair for following Structures: Orchard Canopy Sheds Workshops Barns

You will be working mainly Outdoors and working with all different types of wiring and equipment and gear as per JOB requirements:
**Responsibilities**:

- Construct, erect, install and repair orchard structures by carrying out work on work sites and safely using materials required on sites.
- Install frost protection netting and artificial shelter (wind break).
- Replace posts, fix and install end assemblies.
- Installation of new canopy structure(agbeam) and converting existing wooden structure to

agbeam.
- Install agbeam, canopy wires and strainer wire.
- Perform duties related to orchard construction and establishment work that may be assigned from time to time.
- Reading and interpreting technical specifications and blueprints
- Reviewing the work area to determine the number of materials required
- Providing clients with an estimate of the work completion timelines
- Measuring and cutting metal wiring along with wooden posts and cutting appropriately
- Bending and laying out wiring, rods, and mesh and setting up posts as per the specifications
- Joining wooden posts using fitting spacers and setting up wiring
- Preparing and pouring cement and other concrete mixes into prepared casts
- Using hand and power tools to perform daily activities
- Setting up and positioning wooden posts, plates, and other units
- Clearing the work area before and after work
- Installs and removes tooling using wrenches and other types of hand tool

Duties
- Duties will be as follows:

- Ensuring the maintenance of the equipment and machinery
- Operating tractors in farms
- Orchard maintenance tasks such as mowing, mulching, spraying
- Pest and weed control by machinery
- Transportation of bins/crates
- Ensuring the harvest/orchard machinery is in working order
- Execute Spray program and plant nutritional program by relevant machinery
- Follow health and safety guidelines of the company
- Keeping logs and time records
- Maintain the maintenance records
