**The Role**

Some of the things that you might be involved in include:

- **Software Development**: Deliver high levels of software development with a full understanding of the typical SDLC involved in professional software development.
- **Development & Design**: Create complex mobile solutions leveraging a strong technical understanding of current mobile technologies and concepts in order to make independent and informed decisions for Basis projects.
- **Research & Discovery**: Work closely with Product and Design to define and develop product features.
- **Maintain & Improve**: Constantly contribute to and improve the app CI/CD pipeline. Work closely with QA Engineers for testing and deployment.
- **Mentoring & Peer-Review**: Enable knowledge-sharing across our Software Engineering department, and contribute to the development of Basis’s mobile development capabilities.
- **Technical Debt**:Managing and fixing technical debt and ensuring it isn’t effecting delivery

**About You**

We think you’ll be a fit for this role if have the following skills or experience:

- Around 7+ years of experience in software engineering OR equivalent project experience in mobile app development
- Proficiency in Android development (Jetpack Compose is strongly preferred, but XML Layout, React Native, or Flutter experience is welcome)
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs OR an understanding of how to interact with APIs
- Knowledge of the mobile app release cycle and deployment processes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning
- Experience with Git or other source control tools
- Ability to deliver results as an individual contributor and as part of a team
