Despatch Manager

As the Despatch Manager at CARTERS Papakura, you will plan and schedule the despatch of building materials to construction sites in the region for our valued trade customers. You will ensure efficient usage of trucks and resources while communicating effectively with customers around delivery times. Responsbile for managing the drivers you will:

- Plan and coordinate the day-to-day transportation schedules for our truck drivers
- Ensure all delivery documentation is completed
- Identifying the right products quickly and efficiently while ensuring we deliver the best quality of service, on time and correct to each customer
- Perform ongoing monitoring and actions in relation to our delivery vehicles
- Uphold the high safety standards of the timber site, predominantly with issues related to transportation

**About you**
- Prior management experience in a siimilar despatch/logistics role
- Strong local geographical knowledge to plan efficient delivery routes
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and multi-tasking skills are essential
- A team player with the right attitude
- A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers
- Strong computer skills
- Building industry knowledge is advantageous
