**About the Job**:
Our Frontline custodial staff members spend their time working with Offenders and have a huge impact on influencing change through their day-to-day interactions.

By being great role models and looking for ways to engage positively, Corrections Officers have the opportunity to change the lives of Offenders and their families.

Join us at an Information Evening and discover more about our mahi. Our team will be available on the night to give you information about what a Corrections Officer career with Ara Poutama Aotearoa looks like, answer the questions you have and walk you through our recruitment process.

Please bring photo ID with you on the night e.g. Passport or Driver Licence.

To comply with Prison rules, electronic devices (including cell phones and cameras) are unable to be brought on to prison grounds (these can be stored in vehicles). Tobacco and tobacco related products, including vapes, are not also permitted on prison grounds (these can be stored in vehicles). Chewing gum is not able to be bought in.

If you are carrying any medication please declare this.

All bags including handbags, satchels etc will need to be left in your car.

You will be required to pass through metal detectors before entering the prison grounds (this is similar to the process at many airports).

**When**: Wednesday, 12 October from 6pm - 7.30pm

**Where**: Arohata Prison, 1 Main Road, Tawa, Wellington (car-parking available in both the Visitors car-park and up near the Prison gates in the top car-park)
