SG1313 Limited is looking for a Restaurant Manager for our exciting and themed Indian restaurant - Punjabi Rasoi which is based in Upper Hut, Wellington. We offer a diverse menu featuring traditional Punjabi dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic spices.

We cater to a diverse customer base, including Indian expatriates craving home cooked flavors and locals eager to explore new culinary experiences. The restaurant provides a warm and inviting ambiance, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Punjab. Located in a strategic location, the restaurant will target both local residents and tourists seeking authentic Indian cuisine.

The job responsibilities for a Restaurant Manager will be as per below:

- Menu Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the chef and other staff members for menu implementation.
- Staff Recruitment and Management: Recruit new staff members, motivate and supervise existing staff to maintain a productive work environment.
- Promotions and Discounts Strategy: Work with management to develop and implement new promotions and discounts for the restaurant.
- Customer Interaction: Greet customers, manage their queries, advise on menu options, and suggest dishes.
- Customer Relations: Respond to customer complaints, ensuring quality relationships with both customers and staff.
- Ensure all employees follow company policies and standards.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that the restaurant complies with health regulations and standards.
- Restaurant Appearance: Maintain the restaurant’s cleanliness and ensure it has an appropriate appearance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order necessary supplies, and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Financial Management: Manage the restaurant’s cash flow, process and analyze financial information, and prepare budgets.
- Record information about inventory and health practices, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect equipment and inform management of any replacements needed.
- Operational Management: Oversee restaurant operations and back-office functions, organizing and controlling financial and administrative matters.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise staff performance and ensure efficient workflow.
- Stock Management: Manage stock levels, prepare purchase orders, and ensure the restaurant is well-stocked.
- Sales and Budgeting: Manage sales targets, estimate food and labor costs, and implement budgetary measures.
- Pricing and Promotion Decisions: Manage day-to-day pricing strategies and make decisions regarding the introduction of combo offers.

Required to work for a **minimum of 30 hours per week.**

**Other Important requirements**:

- Minimum of 6 to 12 months of proven work experience
- Available to work on weekends
- Available to work for late evening shifts
- Must be available on call if needed to cover the shift of any other staff member (incase they are sick)

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
