And we listen to each one of them, because we genuinely care, 'A better day, every day'. **He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei** **tūranga | About the role** As an Advanced Support Worker at Access Community Health/Uru Ātea, you will work closely with the care coordination and community nurse teams, with indirect supervision from the supervising clinician. The role involves conducting non-complex client evaluations, as directed by the local Care Coordinator Team Leader. You will also provide complex client care and carry out advanced tasks, for which you will have received training and competency verification from your clinical line manager. Additionally, you will take on a leadership role, offering on-the-job and just-in-time training to less experienced support workers, helping to develop and strengthen the SW workforce. **Key Responsibilities**: **Community-Based Assessments**: - Evaluate support workers' care practices (e.g., handwashing, moving and handling). - Provide in-field guidance to improve skills and ensure compliance with policies. **In-Office Leadership**: - Organize and lead workshops to enhance worker competencies. - Collaborate with care coordination and clinical teams. **Advanced Client Care**: - Deliver complex care and specialized tasks (training provided). **Team Development**: - Offer on-the-job training and mentorship to less experienced workers.
