As a medium-sized civil,Mechanical and Electrical company based in Auckland and canterbury, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects across New Zealand.
We are looking for two Mechanical fitter for Auckland region.
The employee’s job duties and tasks are included, but not limited to the following:
Role Overview:
As an MECHANICAL FITTER, you will be responsible to provide excellent service to
clients of the company. You will use your Mechanical and technical knowledge in order to
keep delivery of service consistent with the goals and aims of the company and preserve the
Company’s good reputations.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of
operations, and machine settings
- fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to
produce machines and equipment
- checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision
measuring instruments
- setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, setting up prescribed cutting and
shaping tools and dies in machines and presses, and setting controls for têxtile machines
- forming metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind,
plane, bore and drill metal
- cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- preparing pattern mechanisms to control the operation of têxtile machines used to spin, weave,
knit, sew and tuft fabric
- diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance of machines, and overhauling and
repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- may erect machines and equipment on-site.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or diploma preferred but not essential This can be partly completed or working towards completion.
- Experience: Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in Mechanical engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Excel, Word,SAP, PowerPoint and MSProject.
Performance Indicators:
- Compliance with quality assurance and project specification requirements.
- Projects delivered on time, within budget.
- Compliance with HSE requirements and mínimal incident rates.
- Effective communication and positive stakeholder feedback.
- Accurate and timely documentation and reporting.
