This is an Intermediate level role in our team, it’s a great chance to bring the knowledge you have and also learn and grow in a busy commercial environment.
In this role you will support the development and delivery of data products, explore and analyse new data sources and make a real impact on growing and evolving Z’s analytics journey. You will enjoy a broad scope of work; you might be working to help understand customer profitability and behaviours, providing data to understand fuel supply and distribution, investigating and validating new data sources to bring into our data model or contributing to work towards our Low Carbon Future.

**You will have the opportunity to**
- Support the design, development and build of data products to provide insights and reporting
- Contribute to building capability of how to use the products for data driven decision making
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deep dives including visualization of data and data storytelling
- Support the implementation of the data excellence framework including documentation of dashboards, data sources, datasets, and business glossary
- Contribute to the Data & Analytics community of practice
- Deliver Data Quality analysis on core data sets and identify opportunities to improve this by providing insights, commentary, and recommendations
- Work closely with the BA, development and testing teams to ensure data specific requirements are understood, developed and tested

**Qualifications**

**What you’ll bring to Z**
- 1-2 + years of data analysis and data management activities
- Experience in end-to-end process of creating trusted data outputs from source data
- Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools to do data exploration and analysis as well as building dashboards and reports using a data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI)
- Demonstrated experience problem solving providing analytical solutions
- The ability to work both with detailed information and to also see the bigger picture
- Strong communication skills, to talk to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Exposure to an Agile environment would be helpful but not essential

The base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $85,000 per annum, plus 10% bonus based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
