**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
We are seeking a senior registered nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills in Respiratory areas.
This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team with close liaison specifically with the Adult Medical Directorate to optimise the quality and effectiveness of service.
In this role you will provide professional and clinical leadership, patient care co-ordination, education and clinical teaching to patients and staff. It is important that you can work autonomously, prioritise workload and work as part of a supportive senior nursing team committed to effective/evidenced based nursing practice.
The successful applicant will have extensive nursing experience and be practicing at a senior level.

We are looking for a proactive person who is ready for a new challenge and a chance to take a step up in their career path. It is essential that you meet the following criteria:
- Have at least 5 years acute nursing experience
- Have experience working with complex patients - including Respiratory patients
- Interact effectively with a multi-disciplinary Team and Service members
- Maintain safe cultural practice and develop your cultural knowledge
- Have excellent supervisory, communication and problem-solving skills are essential in order to relate to and work with staff and patients at all levels.
- Have NZ Nursing registration with a current Annual Practising Certificate
Ideally, you will hold or would be working towards a Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma in speciality nursing practice.
