We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to lead our Hamilton facility, drive performance, and contribute to our business growth.
**About The Role**:
As the Plant Manager, you will oversee all manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will lead a team of 230 employees, managing production, process engineering, maintenance, warehousing, and quality functions. This role requires a leader who can balance strategic direction with day-to-day operational excellence.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- **Safety Leadership**: Develop and reinforce a strong safety culture, ensuring an uncompromising approach to workplace safety and compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- ** Leadership & Engagement**: Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance across all departments.
- ** Operational Excellence**: Deliver cost savings through Lean & Continuous Improvement initiatives while ensuring production meets business targets.
- ** Strategic Alignment**: Work closely with the NZ Supply Chain Leadership Team to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing with broader business objectives.
- ** People Development**: Identify, mentor, and develop employees to build future leadership within the plant.
- ** Customer Focus**: Drive on-time delivery, product quality, and customer satisfaction, working closely with sales and supply chain teams.
- In line with business objectives, perform other duties as assigned.
**What we are looking for**:
- Uncompromising approach to safety, with experience implementing and sustaining a strong safety culture.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in packaging, chemicals, or a related industry, minimum 5 years Plant management.
- Strong people management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Track record of implementing business improvement projects, including cost reduction and efficiency enhancements.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (essential).
