The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention.
We have an exciting opportunity for a **Public Health Medicine Registrar **to work within the newly established office of the Te Manawa Taki Regional Director, National Public Health Service (NPHS). You will contribute and develop public health medicine skills across a wide range of work in the Te Manawa Taki region, particularly around leadership.
**Mōu | About you**
**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Have registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, be a registered Medical Practitioner approved by the New Zealand Medical Council and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate
- Be a public Health Medicine Registrar currently on the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine training programme, having completed at least one advanced training placement
- Have competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
