Experienced Baker

Our busy Bakery is looking for an experienced baker to join our hard-working team in the heart of Morrinsville.

As a Baker your responsibilities include
- Checking the cleanliness of equipment and machinery before starting production.
- Checking raw materials, weighing and measuring ingredients.
- Making dough and fillings from premix and ingredients.
- Preparing pastry fillings.
- Forming and baking cakes, breads, rolls, pastries, biscuits and other baked goods.
- Monitor oven temperatures and cooking to ensure goods are well baked and not undercooked or burnt.
- Put icing, glazes and cream on buns, cakes and other baked goods.
- Ensuring all Food Safety and hygiene standards are met, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Monitoring ingredient quantities, expiry dates and freshness on a daily basis.
- Working with mínimal waste.
- Cleaning and maintenance of machinery as required.

Qualifications or Work Experience

You must have EITHER a relevant Level 4 qualification/apprenticeship OR at least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial bakery/café/restaurant/hotel or similar.

Hours of Work

Hours 40 hours per week, 1am - 9am shift. Any additional hours will be paid at ordinary hourly rate.
