We have an opportunity for a **Senior Communications and Engagement Consultant **with relevant experience to join our Communications and Engagement team in Wellington or Auckland.

We are looking for an energetic, motivated professional to work alongside our multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement best practice communication and engagement strategies, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. You will work in high performing teams, prepare quality written and visual materials, proactively identify and manage risk and drive stakeholder and community engagement activities, alongside our key government and private industry infrastructure clients and in-house design teams.

**What will a day in this role look like**:

- Develop and implement engagement strategies/plans
- Lead engagement on a project
- Assist in business development including developing engagement methodologies
- Be based in Auckland or Wellington and working in the AECOM, client or project offices three days a week

**Qualifications**

**What are we looking for from you?**
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in communications, public relations or similar
- IAP2 Certificate of Engagement
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering communication and engagement strategies for infrastructure, environmental or planning projects, ideally in a consultancy
- Excellent people skills and the ability to develop and grow relationships with colleagues and clients
- Superior communication skills i.e. excellent oral and written presentation demonstrated through report writing and proposals
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a deadline driven environment
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams on infrastructure projects and, or with, government clients
