Black Antler Eatery, Browns Bay, Auckland is looking reliable and flexible Chefs to join our team. We have a permanent full-time positions available with flexible rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday.
Duties include:
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
- Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Preparing and cooking high-quality food using a variety of cooking techniques and procedures.
- Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising kitchen staff on cooking procedures and food preparation methods.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety requirements.
- Managing stock rotation and minimising food wastage.
- Assisting with menu development and seasonal menu updates.
- Training and supporting kitchen staff to maintain food quality and hygiene standards.
- Working closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient service delivery. To be considered, you must:
- Hold a relevant NZQF Level 4 Diploma/Certificate in Cookery (or equivalent qualification), or:
- Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and flexibility. In return,
