**The Role**

Our Store Assistants are responsible for providing excellent customer service by assisting our customers with all their queries.

As part of the Butchery team, you will be responsible for keeping the butchery case looking its best by efficiently packing and labelling meat, ensuring that a maximum range and good quantity of product is available for sale for the correct price at all times during opening hours.

Unloading and marking off deliveries, merchandising and stock rotation.

Maintaining a clean and hygienic department, following food safety guidelines, and completing paperwork.

Helping the butchery team in daily tasks, you’ll develop product knowledge through the training we’ll provide but you’ll need to bring the passion for hard work, service excellence and pride in your work.

You will also be required to work in other departments within the store.

This is a full-time position and may include early starts, late finishes and will include at least one weekend day.

**To be successful in this position you’ll need to be**:

- Friendly, approachable and have excellent customer service skills
- A great team player who is willing to go the extra mile for their colleagues
- Physically fit & strong - there will be heavy lifting involved and you will be on your feet all shift
- Good work ethic, committed and reliable
- Happy to work in a cold environment and with raw meat
- Good time management and organizational skills
