As the Associate Director, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and growing effective and trusting key client relationships through networking and providing business advisory services and client driven solutions, enabling clients to make strategic decisions. In this client centric role, you will manage the existing client base, drive business development, and be responsible for mentoring and supporting the business advisory services team to pursue best practice accounting. You will be a self-led individual that is passionate about the quality of your work and servicing your clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing existing client base plus networking to grow the business
- Provide high level advisory work such as strategy, operations, and tax structuring
- Provide expertise and up to date knowledge of NZ tax law in order to provide meaningful advice to clients and business advisory services team
- Seek value adding opportunities with current client base in addition to tax and compliance support

**Key Requirements**:

- Qualified Chartered accountant (CAANZ or equivalent professional body)
- Holds a Public Practice Certificate or working towards
- 10+ years’ experience in an NZ Chartered Accountancy, Business Advisory Services (BAS) environment
- Experience with farm accounting and advice and be able to develop and hold key trusted relationships
- Proven leadership experience in business advisory capacity
- Ambitious and strong desire to grow on feedback
- Ability to manage a tax and compliance team
- Commitment to excellence in the delivery of work, along with strong technical ability and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, XERO Accounting solutions
- Proven track record of success in a busy environment with changing and competing priorities; flexible and adaptable in approach
