**The Company**
My client is a large NZ business with operations both on and offshore. With a significant manufacturing operation in NZ and service centres as well as sales operations offshore, this company is relatively complex. The business is based in Avondale and is now hiring for a Performance Analyst with a strong manufacturing / costing background.
**The Role**
The role will report to the Financial Controller. You will have responsibilities for the following:
- Review of the manufacturing operations, preparing the monthly reporting pack and analysis on PPV, overhead and labour recoveries with regular review of standard and weighted average costs and providing value add to the operations of the business to ensure efficiencies are gained within operations.
- Prepare and provide insights into sales, margins, customers, and Manufacturing variances
- Regularly review operations and supply chain to optimise BOMS
- Prepare annual budgets, partnering Sales heads to ensure business performance is captured.
- Prepare and review regular monthly forecasts, partnering sales and operational heads to ensure capture of relevant, up to date business activity.
- Prepare the 5 year strategic plan; across cashflow, P&L and balance sheet.
- Prepare month end reporting as required, providing commentary thereon
- Support sales staff in the creation of tenders and quotes
- Analyse inventory levels and partner with stakeholders to minimise stock levels
- Other ad hoc analysis and partnering as required.
**Your profile**:
To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone with the following attributes:
- A strong manufacturing / cost Accounting background
- A minimum of a degree in Accounting - you do not need to be fully qualified
- Strong excel and modelling capability
- Someone willing to learn and grow
- Strong reporting capabilities - having had previous experience in a reporting role
This role could suit someone looking to take a step out of Big 4 Audit, provided you have been across manufacturing clients and had extensive audit experience in the manufacturing space. Preferably you will have worked in a manufacturing operation, having looked after the Accounting for manufacturing and be looking for a step up in responsibilities.
