**What we do**

The MidCentral district of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across Manawatu, Horowhenua and Tararua. With a large hospital campus at Palmerston North, the health care provider also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.

**The Opportunity**

The Clinical Engineering Service is a sub-regional service between MidCentral and Whanganui districts. The service provides asset management and clinical engineering services for medical devices and systems, assuring the safety and reliability of clinical equipment.

**What you'll bring**
- Certificate / Diploma of Biomedical engineering or Electronics or equivalent military electronics (eg radar, sonar) or other recognised equivalent electronics qualification.
- A working knowledge of clinical engineering attributes as per the International Engineering Alliance standards skills and training / education.
- Registered Electrical Appliance Serviceperson with a current practising certificate. (Can be acquired within first year of employment)
- A commitment to quality, compliance, efficiency and effectiveness of technical services
- A high level of integrity and commitment to the preservation and strategic life cycle management of organisation assets.
- Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
- Proven flexibility, adaptability and enthusiasm.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in the healthcare sector and the right ‘can do' attitude demonstrated by an ability to respond positively to a changing working environment and fluctuating workloads.

The salary range will be as per the Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical MECA from $59,035 - $85,992 per annum proportionate to hours worked.
