Join us as Tender/Quotation Specialist where you will be supporting the sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. Reporting to Local Division Sales Manager and will be based in Grafton, New Zealand

**Your responsibilities**:

- Supporting the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. Supporting in the preparation of all offers. Providing technical support during the internal technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers solution/service-related training
- Preparing/supporting preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and sales organization directives. Managing the kick-off meeting between sales and projects
- Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicates to the sales organization
- Providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and participating when required in the risk review assessment
- Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization
- Performing lost proposal analysis together with sales manager, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results
- Implementing our Sales process across all project proposals. Identifying any changes needed to the sales process to the Sales Manager
- Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are always followed including the wearing and maintenance of assigned personal protective equipment, attendance at required health, safety and environment training, report injury, incidents, hazards, and near miss events. Model safe work behaviours in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk controls

**Your background**:

- Engineering degree (or recognized equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a system solutions role in a relevant segment. Automation, control and/or electrification experience highly regarded
- At least 3 years of experience in customer service/support, working as a customer support function.
- Relevant experience in working in a multi-discipline work team/environment
- Knowledge of ABB´s portfolio of products and solutions
- Knowledge of greenfield and large brownfield proposal requirements.
- Knowledge of after-sales service, contracts, and service programs such as software maintenance programs.
- Previous Customer interface experience
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Salesforce.Com
- Cost calculation and commercial aspects of business, payment terms, order entry etc.
- Fluent English and good presentation skills for internal meetings
- Results orientation - drive to exceed goals and improve business practices for higher performance levels
- Intercultural sensitivity and effectiveness - function well across cultures and act as facilitator between cultures
