We are based in Cambridge (Waikato) adjacent to Lake Te Koutu.

We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours a week. The successful applicant must be available five days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

Remuneration ranges from $28.18 - $29.66 per hour, depending on qualifications and/or experience.

The key responsibilities of a housekeeping attendant are:

- clean corridors, lobbies, stairways, elevators, lounges and guest rooms.
- sweep and or mop all hard surface flooring.
- vacuum carpets.
- dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- dust and polish appliances e.g. kettles, coffee pod machines, hairdryers and other appliances specific to apartments.
- clean metal fixtures and fittings.> empty and clean trash containers.
- dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
- wipe down glass surfaces.
- make up beds and change linen as required recording all soiled linen being exchanged. For long stays guests bed linen is to be changed every 3 days.
- inspect mattresses on a routine basis.
- restock room supplies such as toilet paper, tissues, coffee mugs, tea cups and saucers, teas, sugars, teaspoons, drinking glasses, body wash, shampoos, conditioners, hand wash, moisturisers, dish detergent, multi-purpose sprays, milk.
- check all appliances in the rooms are in working order as well as the lights.
- realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout.
- respond to guest queries and requests.
- ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
- follow all company safety and security procedures.
- report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
- observe and report damage of hotel property.
- ensure linen is ordered on time (9am Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
- ensure you make shopping lists for housekeeping replacement stock and hand these to the management team with sufficient time to source these supplies before the stock runs out.
- prioritise cleaning of rooms that are due to arrive each day over service and other rooms
- follow directions of the Senior Management Team (HK Supervisor, Duty Manager, Owners)
- self-managing own break times according to employment legislation and housekeeping supervisors instructions
