Te mahi/The Opportunity
A Pae Tukutuku is critical to the successful daily operation of the Māori Land Court and makes a huge positive difference in the lives of tangata whenua.
You may be required to assist in the facilitation of our dispute resolution process, draft submissions and reports from the Court's records, and conduct whakapapa research to determine ownership details.

He pūkenga tou/Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will have experience in customer service, both in front line and written capacities. With these strong interpersonal skills, you will be able to act with tact and discretion. We are searching for someone who is looking to have time and training invested into them so that they may continue to pursue careers further within the Ministry of Justice.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Have a can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
- Have strong standard of written and oral communication
- Enjoy working in a reactive as well as a proactive environment
- Have an understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
- Have an understanding and appreciation of te ao Māori and te reo me ōna tikanga.
- Be able to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Have solid computer skills
- Have strong research abilities

Utu ā-tau/Salary

**Salary Range**: The current appointing salary for this role will be between $52,729 and $74,441 based on skills and experience. From 1 June, the salary for this role will be between $56,729 and $78,441.
