He Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
Do you have significant experience in patient flow and in leading change? There are two 0.6FTE Change Advisor positions available for up to 8 months for registered health professionals with current practising certificates. These roles involve working on improvement initiatives that support acute patient flow in Tauranga Hospital as part of the Acute Demand Programme.
System pressure and overcrowding of hospitals is a nationwide problem with ongoing high Emergency Department attendances, high hospital occupancy and workforce challenges. Te Tauihu o te Waka - Optimising Management and Leadership of Acute Demand (the ‘Acute Demand Programme‘) is Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty's improvement programme to address these acute demand challenges.
The primary purpose of the Change Advisor role is to provide change management and project support to wards and front line staff to implement the acute demand improvement workplan. The role will lead identified workstreams and projects that have been prioritised within the scope of the acute patient flow programme of work.
