**About the Location**
- Our department consists of Physicians in General Medicine with a wide variety of sub-speciality interests from Cardiology, Endocrinology to Infectious Diseases, as well as an outpatient team, specialist nurses, and visiting sub-specialists. We are accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Basic and Advanced Trainees.
- Lakes is located in the central North Island of New Zealand - Aotearoa. Rotorua is located approximately 230 kilometers (143 miles) southeast of Auckland, while Taupō is located approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) south of Rotorua.
- Lakes is a geothermal wonderland and is also home to several scenic lakes, including Lake Taupō, the largest lake in New Zealand. Rotorua and Taupō are the go-to places for hiking, mountain biking, and water sports; you can also dive into traditional experiences and learn more about Māori culture in the region.

**About you**

You will have:

- a minimum of two years' post qualification experience, and a keen interest in providing acute and general medical care to our community.
