Skar Qonstructions Limited is looking for two Floor Tilers and one Floor Tiler Assistant to work full-time.

Floor Tilers and Floor Tiler Assistant are expected to work a minimum of 30-35 hours a week with a weekly payroll. Hours are rostered on a weekly basis and might include weekend shifts.

**Floor Tiler Job Responsibilities**:
**Client Interaction and Assessment**:Engaging with clients to discuss their tiling requirements, including tile selection, design preferences, and the area to be tiled. Measuring the space to be tiled to assess material needs and providing precise quotes for the project.

**Preparation and Surface Treatment**:Removing old materials from floors, walls, or other surfaces, then cleaning and leveling the area to be tiled. Preparing work areas by taking out old tiles, adhesive, and grout, filling in gaps, cracks, and holes, and ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly clean.

**Material Selection and Procurement**:Selecting the appropriate tiles based on clients' preferences and budgets, ordering necessary materials, and sourcing tiling tools and equipment.

**Tile Laying and Finishing**:Installing and grouting tiles with precision, arranging them according to design specifications, and securing them using adhesives, nails, or staples. Waterproofing tiles with specialized products and methods, and cutting tiles to the proper size and shape.

**Coordination with Other Tradespeople**:Collaborating with other trades to ensure the tiling work seamlessly integrates with other elements of the construction or renovation project.

**Floor Tiler Job Requirements**:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in tiling.

Knowledge of various types of tiles, adhesives, and grout. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard of precision.

Must have a valid driver licence.

**Floor Tiler Assistant Job Responsibilities**:
1. Prepare the floor for installation. Ex: grinding the floor, install the products according to the standards.
2. Pick up goods from the supplier, deliver to the site.
3. Use the proper tools for cutting the timber tiles, and any other floor materials.
4. Report to supervisor/owner immediately in case of any injury, damage, incident happens.
5. Always wear hi vest, safety shoes, safety glasses, hand gloves while working on sites and doing deliveries.
6. Follow health and safety rules while working with tools and take advise from supervisor.
7. Clean job site once the work is done and clean tools.

**Floor Tiler Assistant Job Requirements**:
1. Ability to undertake manual handling / labouring duties.
2. Must have a valid driver's licence and 4+ years of experience.
3. Level 4 Trade qualification and Ability to engage with others effectively and professionally
4. Confidence to work unsupervised or in a team environment.
6. Must be physically fit and able to lift upto 34kg daily basis.
