**The role**
As a **Line Mechanic**, you’ll play a key role in the construction and maintenance of electrical lines, ensuring they meet customer and network requirements efficiently and effectively. Safety will be your top priority - both for yourself and your team. _This role is based in New Plymouth, and you’ll report directly to the Delivery Manager - Construction._
- The key responsibility for this position includes, but are not limited to:_
- Assisting with work plans and ensure that relevant field paperwork is completed as necessary
- The installation and replacement of electricity network poles/overhead conductors and underground power supplies
- The operation of ground and structure mounted electrical equipment associated with electric lines up to 33kV
- Overhauling non-load-bearing pole hardware in electrical networks up to 33kv
- The installation and replacement of electricity network pole structures and overhead conductors.

**Who we’re looking for?**
You will be working on a variety of exciting projects and may have to do some occasional weekend work.- To be successful in this role, it is essential to have the following:_
- Assist with work plans and ensure that relevant field paperwork is completed as necessary
- The ability to assist with work plans and ensure all relevant field paperwork is completed accurately
- A current NZ EWRB registration license (preferred but not essential)
- At least two years of solid work experience in the industry
- A valid Class 2 or Class 4 driver’s license
- A great work attitude, willingness to collaborate with a diverse team, and a strong commitment to health and safety
- The ability to communicate effectively and work independently with mínimal supervision.
