**All applicants need to be very flexible with hours and available to work both days on the weekends. For this role**, **we require someone to work 4 days per week Saturday through to Tuesday with the opportunity to pick up some additional hours from time to time and it would become a full-time position in our busy seasons which are Easter and Christmas.**

**Hours in more detail**:
**Saturdays 10am-5:30pm**

**Sundays 10am-5:30pm**

**Mondays 7am-2pm**

**Tuesdays 7am-2pm**

We are looking for the right person to join our awesome sales team at Bakers Delight Mount Maunganui. We bake everything fresh every day from scratch so you need to be passionate about food and delivering excellent customer service

For this role, you need to have great communication skills. To be able to recognize great sales techniques and not be afraid to put them into practice with every shift. Have great motivation and accuracy.

The position requires a trustworthy, fast-learning person to join our team.
With a great work ethic and the ability to be a real team player as we are such a small team, we become more like family instead of work colleagues.

The majority of this role is selling fresh, preservative-free bread, sweet and savoury products, great range of artisan bread and scones.

**Key activities are**:

- Greet customers with a smile, a warm greeting, and a positive attitude
- Offer customer reward cards to encourage customers to return
- Offer tastings to introduce customers to different products
- Upsell bakery products to customers
- Listen to, interact with, and build rapport with customers
- Complete the transaction using the tablet to record sales
- Discuss promotional products with customers
- Communicate customer feedback to Bakery Team and Management
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain knowledge of new products
- To maintain a clean environment
- To merchandise the bakery to look attractive and inviting
- Follow all instructions from the Sales Manager

**ALL applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.**

**Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications**

Sales experience is preferred but not required, all training is provided on the job.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.15 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27 per week
