Teacher / Cook

At Go Bananas Childcare we believe that each child is unique with their own strengths and abilities. We are committed to providing a fun filled quality education for children by knowledgeable, reflective and experienced kaiako.

We are looking for a
**teacher/cook** to support our team.

Your key responsibilities will be:
1) COOKING: cook yummy and nutritious food for the children. In your role you will be responsible for following the set menu, supporting the manager with purchasing orders, tidying up the kitchen and kai areas. You will also help with covering breaks and laundry duties.

2) TEACHING: Actively engaging children in activities (yes you can do cooking activities with the children too... they love it), follow our GBC curriculum, support in documenting the children's learning.

- 25-30 hours a week of work

What are we looking for?
- Experienced ECE teacher
- Passionate about teaching and working with children
- Experience cooking in an ECE setting (extra careful in attention to detail to respect cultural needs and allergy related restrictions with food) - Food handling certificate and first aid certificate are a big advantage
- Ability to work positively as a team
- Willingness to continue learning and growing in your teaching career
- A Cheerful and friendly attitude with an aim to build a strong and trusting relationship with children, families/Whanau, and co-workers.
- Fast, organized, energetic and reliable.
- Flexibility to work shift between 7am and 6pm (opening, middle and closing shifts) and extra hours if required
