Job description:
- Prepare and bake Indian bakery items such as naan, kulcha, pav, khari biscuits, cake rusk, and other regional specialties.
- Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Manage baking schedules to ensure timely production and freshness of goods.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, and proofers.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and report shortages.
- Experiment with new recipes and seasonal products to expand menu offerings.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate production for orders and events.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a baker, preferably in Indian-style baking.
- Knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques specific to Indian products.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and during peak seasons.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
**Education & Experience**:
- No formal degree required; vocational training in baking or culinary arts is an advantage.
