Are you ready to take the next step in your electrical career? We are on the lookout for a skilled Cable Jointer where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality service to the company’s Generation customers.

The role is initially based in the Manawatu region; however, Downer Energy NZ operates service and construction contracts at various sites across the country. This role is ideal for someone willing to work away from home and travel around New Zealand for major renewable projects. Applicants should be prepared for both short-term and long-term travel as part of their regular work schedule.

The company covers flights, accommodation, vehicles, and fuel, and provides a daily allowance when working at project sites in New Zealand. We have a supportive team culture where we work hard, enjoy ourselves, look out for each other, and gain experience with different skills and projects.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**

- EWRB Cable Jointer registration/licence required

- National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Cable Jointer - High Voltage) Level 4

- A clean class 1 driver’s license, class 2/4 preferable

- Sound knowledge of the Safety Manual Electricity Industry (SMEI) and Safe Practices for Low Voltage Electrical Work
