**The Role**:
Here is an opportunity to be part of our growth strategy by:

- Leading the development and maintenance of quality and risk systems in the Fabrication Workshop
- Ensuring steel fabrication duties and pressure piping meets applicable grade level quality standards
- Being the in-house QC expert and champion
- Maintaining accreditation to quality standards and systems
- Managing quality assurance information provided to clients
- Developing strong relationships with internal and external clients to improve quality
- Tracking and reporting quality assurance KPIs

**About You**:
With a background of working in heavy fabrication, machine shop, or manufacturing industries, you’ll be known for implementing proactive procedures to improve efficiency. You’ll also offer:

- Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering or fabrication
- 5+ years’ experience in quality assurance/quality control
- Strong knowledge of welding technology and metallurgy
- Understanding of welding codes for pressure piping, steel fabrication and quality management systems such as ISO9001, ASME VIII, ASME IX, BS 5500 and piping codes
- Ability to maintain written records, interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures
- Sound financial management and commercial understanding
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and advanced MS Project skills

Project management, business development and supervisory skills are desirable but not essential.
