**Job Description**:
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Merchandise Planner with apparel experience to join our Torpedo7 team based at our Auckland Takapuna office. Working in partnership with Buying, the Merchandise Planner plays a critical role in the business as the role will involve merchandise financial planning, range/assortment planning, stock management, inbound scheduling and inventory control across multiple categories and locations; ensuring we have the right products at the right quantities at the right prices to excite our customers every day and ultimately support the delivery of key financial outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Setting budgets and reviewing forward merchandise financial plans
- Manage Open to Buy
- Analysing category/product performance trends and making recommendations for improvement
- Working with the team to deliver on-target planned trade, inventory and promotional outcomes
- Work with Buyers on range building and management
- Manage the merchandise critical path
- Controlling markdowns and category spend
- Providing effective financial, forecasting and stock flow management reports
- Implement inventory and merchandise planning processes.
- Manage pricing and promotional activity.
- Manage stock flow and aged inventory.
- Drive positive margin and ROI outcomes

**Qualifications**:
You will have strong apparel experience and thrive on analysing data to identify trends, issues and opportunities, and are a skilled communicator who can influence decision making with your key stakeholders. Your strong commercial acumen and understanding of the retail trade will hold you in good stead for this position.
