About the role
At Datacom, marketing is all about understanding our customers and how we work to meet their bespoke needs. As an experienced producer you will have excellent end-to-end project management and communication skills. You will be methodical, process driven and able to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support the smooth delivery of various digital projects. With experience across a wide range of marketing and digital functions, you will be across the detail and have an in-depth understanding of how technology and a strong brand can help us achieve our immediate and long-term business goals. As a small team we work closely together to deliver on our strategic priorities. Coming out of COVID restrictions, we are now looking for a dedicated event specialist who will be a coordinating genius across our many activities. The event coordinator will play a key role in working across the team and business. You will leverage your event expertise and networks to provide unique oversight and perspective to help us manage and deliver marketing campaigns and events within quality, time and budget requirements.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate closely with the marketing leads and business units to implement an integrated event and marketing strategy, aligned to our Group brand.
- Provide event expertise and guidance to the business and advocate brand alignment.
- Work with the digital, marketing and brand team to drive events across New Zealand and Australia.
- Coordinate end-to-end event management of multiple events, ensuring all pre and post event tasks are completed to schedule and the event is executed to the highest possible standard.
- Create and coordinate hybrid onsite/virtual events which engage, connect, entertain audiences.
- Execution of webinars that enable audiences to interact and engage
- Develop copy for event invitations and support messaging for marketing and digital campaigns to drive registrations and engagement
- Take ownership of our event lead generation performance working closely with the marketing team.

- Support for events aligned to marketing and brand strategy.
- Comfortable interacting across all levels of the business, at senior level and with wide and diverse groups.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Excellent communication skills, with a high command of the English language (written and verbal) budget, brand and time constraints
