Due to our continued growth, we are recruiting a new **T**echnical Sales Representative **for the Connect Surveillance & Security team**. **This position covers responsibilities involved with managing a select group of corporate & government customers, understanding and identifying their needs and areas where our vendor's products or services can provide value. You will leverage your relationships within Dicker Data, and with our partners to ensure that we deliver the best possible solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Act as the main point of contact and work to understand the client's business objectives, challenges, and technical requirements.
- Provide tailored solutions and recommendations through developing a deep understanding of the client's technical environment, including -their infrastructure, systems, and software.
- Providing technical guidance and support to the client, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with the organisation's technical teams to resolve problems.
- Collaborating closely with the organization's technical teams, sales teams, and other relevant departments, advocating for the client to ensure coordinated and effective solutions and deployments.
- Proactively identifying and addressing potential issues or roadblocks that may affect the client's satisfaction or success. This includes mitigating risks and finding solutions to challenges.
- Prepare quarterly and monthly forecasts/budgeting updates

**C**ore competencies sought**:

- A proven track record in developing new business and maintaining existing business.
- A technical background in the electronic security or IT Industry including knowledge of the relevant markets
- Ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise workload to meet company and
customer expectations
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. This includes an ability to communicate
and liaise with all levels of customer and supplier contacts, establishing respectful and positive
relationships
- Well-developed negotiation skills
- Strong numeracy skills, and an understanding of back-end administration procedures
- Professional, helpful, and efficient manner
- Innovative, goal-driven, and determined, with a clear vision of company and financial objectives
- Excellent financial and budgeting skills with the ability to forecast numbers against budget on a monthly/quarterly basis
