We are looking for a self-starting superstar to join our small team delivering quality support services to our Auckland Deaf and hearing impaired client groups, empowering them to live their best life’s in finding meaningful employment.

The Employment Support Services team provide specialised recruitment consultancy, offering a wide range of person centred, goal focused services for our clients.

Working within our communities our Employment Specialist are primarily responsible for assisting and empowering our Deaf clients to obtain meaningful employment that aligns to their personal goals and career aspirations.
Our Employment Specialist build partnerships with our clients and support them to navigate their journey to employment. This includes pre-employment skill development, confidence building, individualised career planning, facilitating workshops, sourcing potential employment opportunities, building employer relationships and ongoing in work career support.
This role will require you to travel across the Auckland region to meet clients, employer and referral agencies a company car will be provided for business use. This is a full time role, Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm.
**Key Achievements of Role**:
- Successfully manage a caseload of employed clients.
- Delivery services to meet our enabling good lives principles
- Support successful and sustainable employment by creating a realistic support plan that is reviewed regularly. Facilitation of inductions and training as required.
- Provide effective support to each client & support employers to maintain ongoing employment.
- As required market the service, source referral and develop & maintain relationships with referral agencies.
- As required provide initial career planning and guidance which includes an individualized pre-employment plan and commence job search either 1 on 1 or in a group setting.
- Completion of administration and reporting tasks in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
- To support excellent service delivery and demonstrate quality standards with all stakeholders, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
- To work in a professional, positive and ethical manner that fits with Geneva Healthcare company culture, business practices, operations manuals, policies and procedures.
**What you will bring | Nga tohungatanga mo tenei turanga**
- Proven competency in New Zealand Sign Language and ability to adapt communication to meet our client’s preferences.
- Understanding of Deaf culture is essential
- Understands the significance of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and displays cultural sensitivity and a willingness to work positively with organisational strategies to improve opportunity for Maori
- Recruitment, labour market or supported employment experience would be beneficial
- Experience with people living with disability
- Proven and outstanding organisation and planning skills, including attention to detail, follow through and completion
- Demonstrated ability and confidence to work collaboratively with external stakeholders
- A passion for supporting and enabling people to gain and sustain employment
- A commitment to quality services and a desire to be part of an organisation that is an industry leader
- An effective and supportive team player who is positive, inclusive, open and honest and willing to share knowledge and skills
