Trainer - Kapasa

**Location**: Auckland or WellingtonContract: Permanent - full time About the roleAre you a training specialist who is looking for a new challenge?We have a newly created role, for a Trainer to provide training in the use of Kapasa. This would suit someone who has a passion for training and enjoys working in a high performing team.Kapasa is a policy analysis tool that provides a platform for government agencies and external organisations to build their understanding of Pacific peoples. This can lead to more effective policy development, improved outcomes, and better quality of life for Pacific people.Our new Kapasa Trainer will provide training in the use of the Kapasa tool, where Pacific peoples may be affected directly or indirectly by a range of policy work and decision-making. This may include working with MPP staff and policy makers in government agencies, as well as private and non-government sectors across New Zealand.This role is one of two newly developed cultural trainer positions within the Ministry.What you'll bring
- Significant Pacific cultural competence and community sector experience
- Collaborative skills and experience in working with the Pacific community and internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences and using a variety of methods including written, oral and through presentations
- A background in Policy, Operations or Community development
- Experience in training delivery or on the job coaching in an adult learning environment
